Riding The Storm was my first complete set design and my first show that dealt with Climate Change and the potential that the floor might quite literally disappear from beneath one’s feet.
Communicating the power of nature and our need to take it seriously has never been far from my mind. The instability of both surface and emotion is an on-going theme in everything I make. This production was as dance theatre company Slack Dance which lasted for two productions, until 1999.
Designed by Mish Weaver, Directed by Paul Hunter.
